About the event
Following our Workshop on February 7th, 2025 and based on your feedback, we are back for another hour with our panel of experts to analyse three case studies, given that we did not have enough time to complete them during the Workshop. This is an opportunity to discuss and compare approaches as we continue to work with legacy collections in both the short and long term. A question and answer period will end the hour long program. If you did not have an opportunity to attend the Workshop on February 7th, or wish to review workshop materials, we have posted the case studies, slide presentation and a recording of our panelists' presentations in OCEAN's Resources Library.
Our panelists are:
Dr. Sally Yerkovich, Director of Educational Exchange and Special Projects at The American-Scandinavian Foundation in New York City and Adjunct Professor of Museum Anthropology at Columbia University.
Anne Young, OCEAN board member, Director of Legal Affairs and Intellectual Property, Newfields.
Emma Carter, Rights Specialist, Newfields.
Tanya Anderson, Advisor, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Canadian Museum of History.
Rina Elster Pantalony, Director, Copyright Advisory Services, Columbia University Libraries, OCEAN board member (moderator)
Hope O'Keefe, Former Senior Associate General Counsel, Library of Congress; emeritus member UIPO
